Patricia Courtois

President | CEO & Principal

International brand expertise with a hometown touch.

Patricia launched her public relations career in Chicago after graduation from Northwestern University. That career immersed her in media relations, special events, community relations and corporate philanthropy for numerous successful companies and brands including Beatrice Foods, Sara Lee, Tropicana, Sweet ’N Low, Butter Buds, Sugar in the Raw and Mary Kay.

In the ‘90s, she held marketing communications positions with Tropicana in Bradenton, Florida, where she oversaw advertising, public relations and promotions for Tropicana Pure Premium Orange Juice, the sixth largest grocery brand in America. She also orchestrated its launch in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Courtois joined Clarke Advertising and PR in 1999 and until 2005, headed up Public Relations, Client Service and overall agency operations. In January 2005 Patricia partnered with Bill Pierson to purchase the agency from founder Tim Clarke. She was named President and COO in February 2012. On January 1, 2015, Patricia became the agency’s President and CEO, rebranding the firm as C•Suite Communications.

Patricia never met a Board she didn’t like—or that liked her right back.

Patricia is very active in the community, serving on the boards of The Community Foundation of Sarasota County, Florida Studio Theatre and the Economic Development Corporation of Sarasota County. She is also a member of the Marketing Advisory Committee of The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota and on the Florida Council of the American Association of Advertising Agencies.  In 2013, Patricia was named a Finalist for Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Business Woman of the Year. She has also served as a member of the Sarasota County Tourism and Economic Development Board, past chair of the Leadership Council of the United Way Women’s Initiative, and on the Leadership Council of the Community Capacity Building Initiative for Aging Services. She is a former board member of the Sarasota County Arts Council, the Literacy Council of Sarasota and past president of the Sarasota Sunrise Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association.
