A "Suite" Internship

When I graduated college, most of my professional working experiences came from a previous internship, where I worked for a local newspaper as a reporter. Once I entered into agency life as an intern at C•Suite, I realized the skills I had learned in the past would work hand-in-hand with a different but equally engaging side of media relations. My new responsibilities were no longer to simply write a story, but rather to find the best way to support the story my client wished to tell.
During the past few months, while I've been a part of the C•Suite team, I have gained considerable knowledge in many different aspects of agency life—such as working closely with the creative team, and the importance of teamwork in account service—that I know will be beneficial throughout my career. There is something so unique and necessary about having real-life, hands-on experiences that can only be achieved from working closely with different clients on various types of projects.
The most important piece of information I've discovered in my short time here is that there is always something new to learn in this industry, whether you're an Intern or an Account Manager. The tasks and responsibilities of an agency are constantly evolving due to the nature of each unique client, and the introduction of new technologies.
Working on the account service team is an incredible experience, which relies on trust, mutual communication and teamwork. With all of the amazing projects and opportunities I've been a part of—such as assisting in multiple media and ribbon-cutting ceremonies, to managing a video shoot—the most enjoyable part of my internship is that I know no day will be like the last, and that success is made possible through hard work.
